  • Living with Grief

    We know that you and your family have experienced the death of a loved one within the last two years and live with the accompanying grief.   We know that it is important to continue to acknowledge the reality of this loss and to surround yourself with support through family, friends, communities of faith and through other resources.  
    As one of those resources, we want to extend an invitation to you for a “Living with Grief” meeting that will gather the first Tuesday afternoon of each month from 4-5:15 pm at Boulger Funeral Home.  You can come one time, or many times, or occasionally.  The time will be facilitated by Boulger Funeral Home’s Grief Support Coordinators.  
    Meetings will be held on Tuesday,May 7, 2013 at 4:00-5:15 PM and again at 6:00 PM.
    The next meetings will be May 7.

Douglas R Ludwig, 87, Hillsboro, ND passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.


Douglas Ludwig was born to John and Hannah (Swenson) Ludwig in Hillsboro, ND on December 6, 1924. He grew up and attended school in Hillsboro. Doug joined the Army in November of 1944 and was stationed in Germany during World War Two, until his discharge in 1946. He returned to the Hillsboro area where he worked at the grocery store in the winter and on the farm in the summer. Doug started work with Pioneer United Telephone in 1953 and retired from US West in 1992. Douglas R Ludwig and Corrine Boe were married on the family farm near Hatton, ND on August 18, 1956. They had three children. His wife, Corrine, and their daughter, Jodi Jorgensen, preceded Doug in death.


He is survived by his children, Jim (Karla) Ludwig, Bismarck, ND and Lori (Tom) Tweten, Grand Forks, ND;  his son-in-law, Dan Jorgensen; and his grandchildren, Sarah and Rebecca Ludwig; John and Andrew Tweten; Taylor, Dalton, and Beau Jorgensen.
