  • Living with Grief

    “Grief is as natural as the setting of the sun and as elemental as gravity.  Grief is a complex but perfectly natural—and necessary—mixture of human emotions.”  Alan Wolfelt
    We know that you and your family have experienced the death of a loved one within the last two years and live with the accompanying grief.   We know that it is important to continue to acknowledge the reality of this loss and to surround yourself with support through family, friends, communities of faith and through other resources.  
    As one of those resources, we want to extend an invitation to you for a “Living with Grief” meeting that will gather the first Tuesday afternoon of each month from 4-5:15 pm at Boulger Funeral Home.  You can come one time, or many times, or occasionally.  The time will be facilitated by Boulger Funeral Home’s Grief Support Coordinators.  
    Meetings will be held on Tuesday,May 7, 2013 at 4:00-5:15 PM and again at 6:00 PM.
    The next meetings will be May 7.

Violet Augustin, 84, Fargo, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Essentia Health, Fargo, North Dakota.


Violet Hellickson Augustin was born on April 2, 1928 to Cyrus and Julia (Ponto) Hellickson at Blanchard, North Dakota. She grew up in the Blanchard/Hillsboro area. Violet married Victor Augustin in Hillsboro on June 11, 1949. They were members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church since November 1, 1981.


Violet was a homemaker and she enjoyed puzzles, paint-by-number, and embroidery.


She is survived by her children, Donald,  Lois Huovinen, Kimberly (Rick) Parsley, Penny (Rick)  Maurer; grandchildren, Joseph, Amy Hamilton, Eric Ybarra,  Sarah Fries, Gloria Ybarra,  Michael Stetsland, Joel Augustin, Kyle Parsley, Robert Kotchian, Jacob Hagemeister; great grandchildren, Joseph Huovinen Jr, Caleb, and Aubrey, Tanner Hamilton and September Hamilton, Aaron Thompson, Anthony Fries and Jasmine Fries.


Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, on April 17, 1982 and her grandson, Nathan Augustin on March 19, 2003.
