  • Living with Grief

    We know that you and your family have experienced the death of a loved one within the last two years and live with the accompanying grief.   We know that it is important to continue to acknowledge the reality of this loss and to surround yourself with support through family, friends, communities of faith and through other resources.  
    As one of those resources, we want to extend an invitation to you for a “Living with Grief” meeting that will gather the first Tuesday afternoon of each month from 4-5:15 pm at Boulger Funeral Home.  You can come one time, or many times, or occasionally.  The time will be facilitated by Boulger Funeral Home’s Grief Support Coordinators.  
    Meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 4:00-5:15 PM and again at 6:00 PM.
    The next meetings will be July 2.

Gary Fischer, 58, Fargo, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo.


Gary was born to Lawrence “Larry” and Eileen (Enger) Fischer in Fargo on April 19, 1954.  He grew up in Fargo where he attended North High School.  He received welder certification.  He began working for Hardware Incorporated as a welder.  He worked as a night auditor for Hi 10 Motel in West Fargo.  Gary married Linda Sather in Moorhead on July 23, 1982.  They made their home in Moorhead.  They later divorced.  He worked for 20 years in the tree trimming service.  He worked with his father at Larry’s Tree Service from 1990-2000.  He was forced to retire as a result of severe emphysema.  He lived at New Horizon Manor for the past year.


Gary enjoyed fishing, watching television especially pro wrestling, was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing darts.


He is survived by his father, Lawrence; brothers, Mark and Todd; sister, Sandra; nephew, Christopher Fischer; and great niece, Jalin Fischer.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Eileen and sister, Judith.
