  • Living with Grief

    We know that you and your family have experienced the death of a loved one within the last two years and live with the accompanying grief.   We know that it is important to continue to acknowledge the reality of this loss and to surround yourself with support through family, friends, communities of faith and through other resources.  
    As one of those resources, we want to extend an invitation to you for a “Living with Grief” meeting that will gather the first Tuesday afternoon of each month from 4-5:15 pm at Boulger Funeral Home.  You can come one time, or many times, or occasionally.  The time will be facilitated by Boulger Funeral Home’s Grief Support Coordinators.  
    Meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 4:00-5:15 PM and again at 6:00 PM.
    The next meetings will be July 2.

Anne C. Barchinger, 85, Fargo passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at her home.


Anne was born July 29, 1926 near Lake Park, MN, to Carl “Fred” and Alma (Myran) Melby. Anne attended school in rural Rollag before graduating from Hawley High School in 1944. Anne went on to attend business school in Fargo. Anne married Ernest Barchinger on June 22, 1949 in Rollag Lutheran Church. She worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for the State Highway Department from 1952-1970. She later worked for the Fargo Youth Commission before retiring in 2005.


One of Anne’s passions was gardening. She also loved cooking and reading. She was very proud of her granddaughters’ and their accomplishments.


Anne is survived by her son, Jeff (DeLaine), Sioux City, IA, granddaughters’, Sarah, State College, PA, Kelly, Iowa City, IA, and niece, nephews and cousins.


Anne was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernest, and brother, Elvin.
