Ramona passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Evergreens in Fargo at the age of 77.
Ramona Fridgen was born on December 5, 1935, the daughter of Anthony and Susan (Bauer) Fridgen, near Dumont, MN. She grew up in this area and graduated from Graceville High School. Ramona was united in marriage to James Koob on October 12, 1954 in Dumont. They had five children. Ramona had lived in Fargo since her husband’s passing on February 6, 2006. She made her home at River Square Apartments before moving to the Evergreens the past year. Prior to that time she and Jim had made their home in Chaska, Mound, Hector, Wheaton, and Elbow Lake, MN.
Ramona loved spending time with her family, especially baking many goodies and treats for them. She enjoyed a nice visit with a good cup of coffee. Throughout her life there was always a special place in her heart for dogs and cats.
Ramona is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Scott) Gail of Fargo; her sons, Jeffrey (Karen) Koob of Williamsburg, VA; Kevin (Kelly) Koob of Oregon City, OR; and Michael (Toni) Koob of Kenai, AK; her grandchildren – Jennifer (Barry) Christianson, David (Mandi) Gail, Katie (Mike) Bittner, Mark Schram, Thomas Koob, Stephanie Koob, Patrick Koob, Christopher Koob, Garrett Berg; and her great grandchildren – Gaven and Gabrielle Christianson, and Damon Gail. Also surviving are her siblings, Robert (Sylvia) Fridgen of Plymouth, MN; Virginia Robertson of Fergus Falls, MN; David Fridgen; and Nancy (Allen) Reddy, both of Minneapolis, MN.
Ramon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; her infant son, John; and her sisters, Patricia Murphy and Judy Fridgen.
