CALLING ALL FARGO AREA WAR VETERANS:
Unique documentary captures American War Veterans in their own words
"Independent filmmaker, Larry Cappetto, races to preserve the memories of war veterans"
Award winning, documentary filmmaker, Larry Cappetto, will be in Fargo, Sept. 16 & 17 to interview war veterans for his television documentary series, "Lest They Be Forgotten."
RECRUITING WAR VETERANS -
Mr. Cappetto is seeking those in the Fargo area who have served in the military to interview for his ongoing film series. Veterans of WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War and Iraq are especially encouraged to participate in this historic project. Survivors of the holocaust are also encouraged to participate.
Mr. Cappetto's unique and compelling series of documentaries are educationally and historically important as America's generation of war veterans are dying everyday. His documentaries are unusual in that the entire narrative is drawn from the memories and monologues of today's veterans.
"Our young people today need to learn of the sacrifices that have gone before them so they can gain a better appreciation for all veterans and the freedoms that we share." (Larry Cappetto)
Mr. Cappetto sees a great need to honor those who have served their country. His film series has been featured on Public Television including the PBS family. He has also appeared on the CBS Evening News, FOX Television and MSNBC. Mr. Cappetto has also been featured on Canadian National Television.
"Cappetto's search for those surviving veterans has been relentless..." In seven years he's
interviewed almost 800 combat veterans, "...assembling one of the largest oral histories ever
recorded of Americans at war." (Wyatt Andrews, CBS National News Correspondent).
